BLAZERS DEFEAT SEATTLE 6-1

I coached Colin Smith & Branden Troock (T-birds) when they were 6 years old and watched them play the remainder of their minor hockey careers in West Edmonton. Brandon always played with reckless abandon and Colin was of course the slick playmaker/scorer. It baffles me as to why Brandon is still in the system with the very low scoring statistics and what appears to be a very injury prone career thus far (attributable obviously to his aggressive style of play to compensate for lack of talent). His vital statistics appear to be exaggerated which again I can only attribute to overly aggressive parents still pushing their child to compete at a level where he shouldn't be. Brandon has has some serious injuries and he really should consider hanging the skates up. Having said that, Colin's talent was quite obvious even at the age of six and I knew he was going to be successful. I hope grabs the WHL scoring title!
