BLAZERS' PROSPECT NAMED MML PLAYER OF MONTHJan 16, 2012 - 06:04 PST
BC Hockey announced January 16, 2012 that Braden Krogfoss (Cloverdale, BC) has been named the Major Midget League Player of the Month for December. Krogfoss had a great month finishing with a record of 3-0-0, 0.33 goals against average and two (2) shutouts for the Vancouver North West Giants.
The marquee win for him was in Prince George, BC against the Cariboo Cougars in a rematch of the 2010-2011 MML Championship; Krogfoss made 29 saves in the 1-0 win for the Giants. He played a major role in the Giants ascent up the MML standings and will be a key factor for the team as they prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.
“Braden is a quiet leader on the Giants who is always fully prepared to play and competes very hard in all practices,” commented Vancouver North West Giants head coach Todd Harkins.
As well as being named Player of the Month, Krogfoss will receive an exclusive gift from Easton on his selection. He was chosen from a high calibre list of nominees for this prestigious award. The runners up in no particular order are as follows:

The BC Hockey Major Midget League was established in 2004 to provide elite level 15, 16 and 17 year olds an opportunity to play within their own age group. Playing at this high level and be developed for the next level of hockey. These teams have an opportunity each year to compete for the National Midget Championship.
