BLAZERS WIN 4-2 IN VANCOUVERJan 02, 2013 - 17:13 PST
The Kamloops Blazers (27-10-2-2) defeated the Vancouver Giants (10-28-0-0) for the second time in as many games Wednesday night.
The Giants opened the scoring with Blake Orban getting his 2nd of the season. The Blazers countered less than 4 minutes later, as Joel Edmundson notched a power play marker. At the end of the 1st period, the teams were even at 1-1. The 2nd period also saw the Giants score first, as they took their second lead of the game. With less than a minute left in the period Dylan Willick, in his first game back from injury, tied the game with a shorthanded goal. In the 3rd period, the Blazers scored twice less than 2 minutes apart for a final score of 4-2. Taran Kozun was in goal for the Blazers. The shots were 29-22 in favour of the Blazers. The Blazers were 2-for-4 on the powerplay, while the Giants were 0-for-2.
The Blazers are home on January 4th as they take on the Seattle Thunderbirds.
