Week in Review:

Friday, October 30, 2009 vs. Chilliwack Bruins

Scott Ferguson made his debut behind the Blazers bench and he couldn’t rally the troops as the Blazers fell to the Bruins 7-1. Chilliwack jumped out to a 3-0 lead after a solid first period. To start the second, Jon Groenheyde was pulled from the Blazers goal and in came Justin Leclerc. Nothing seemed to change though as the Bruins kept scoring and the Blazers kept being shut down by both of the Bruins goaltenders. The lone goal scorer for the Blazers was Matej Bene with his first career WHL goal. The hockey team was 1-for-8 on the powerplay and only 3-for-5 on the penalty kill. Final shots on goal in this game were tied at 34 apeice. The Blazers record drops to 8-8-2-0.

Home Sweet Home

The Blazers have are currently on a 6-game home stand over the next two weeks. The hockey club has three games this week, Tuesday vs. Tri-City, Friday vs. Edmonton, and Saturday vs. Kelowna. You can get your tickets by calling the box office at 250-828-3339.

November is Kids Month

For the month of November, kids 12 and under get in to Blazer games for FREE if they are accompanied by a paid adult ticket. This promotion is for the entire month of November!

Breast Cancer Jerseys

The winners of the special edition breast cancer jerseys that were worn on October 2nd vs. Vancouver Giants and auctioned off throughout the month of October have been announced. Go to blazerhockey.com to see the winning bids!

Blueliner Breakfast

This upcoming Sunday, November 8th is the first of four Blazer Blueliner breakfasts for kids 12 and under to have breakfast with their favourite Blazers. Cost is $20. For more information contact Spike at the Blazers office at 250-828-1144.
